Everything that changed, written for the person it affects rather than copied out of commit messages. Policy changes are listed here too, not just features.
No more advertising, and a great deal more page
removedThe advertising script. It set third-party cookies and profiled every visitor, which is indefensible on a site whose central claim is that nothing leaves your browser. The site now sets no cookies at all — which is also why there is no consent banner.
addedPrivacy, Cookies, Terms, Security, Accessibility, Subprocessors, Refunds, FAQ and Contact pages. Previously the footer linked to two of these and neither existed.
addedA category landing page for each of the four groups, and a searchable catalogue at /tools. 'All tools' used to be an anchor into the middle of the homepage.
addedA written answer and a real FAQ on all 39 tool pages. Only one had them before.
changedThe homepage hero now measures your actual round-trip latency and runs real work on your CPU, instead of showing a drawing of a network panel with nothing in it.
fixedLight-theme visitors no longer get a dark flash on every page load — the theme is now resolved before the first paint.
A brand, and readable type
changedNew palette and typeface throughout, in both light and dark themes.
fixedText sizes raised across the whole scale. The new typeface has a small x-height, so the previous sizes rendered about a third smaller to the eye than they measured.
fixedPrimary buttons were near-invisible in dark mode — white text on a pastel fill, about 1.7:1. Fixed with a theme-aware ink token.
changedThe left sidebar became a full-width menu, which gave every tool page back a fifth of its width.
